  • Custom made from special soft durometer hi-temp silicone
  • These will reduce or eliminate tube rattle in most all combo amps
  • For all 12AX7, 12AT7, 12AU7, 12BH7 Pre’s and EL84 power tubes
  • Largest and most effective vacuum tube dampers made

The soft custom durometer used in the “EuroDamper” rings physically dampens vibrations caused by speaker vibration in combo amps. This greatly reduces or in most cases eliminates tube rattle. These are also great for reducing mechanical noise in Hifi amps. The small “EuroDamper” rings measure .700” (17.75mm) inside diameter for a snug fit on 12AX7, 12AT7, 12AU7, etc preamp tubes and EL84 and EL844 power tubes. The OD measures 1.35” (34.29mm) and the thickness measures .375” (9.25mm). These are also available in a larger size for power tubes such as EL34, KT77, 6L6, 6L6GC, 5881 and octal based rectifier tubes.

Had some occasional rattle coming through my combo amp especially on lower notes and higher volumes. Saw these and thought they looked solid. Slapped them on my tubes and haven’t had any rattling whatsoever ever since. No melting or smoke either with the hot tubes meeting the dampers. Great product. Very professional company. I highly recommend

New update (June 20): There was a rectifier tube that was rattling - which is why I initially downgraded this from a 5 to a 3 star. Back up to five. The rectifier tube was rattling in the tube socket (nothing about the vacuum tube itself). So I took one of the rings and placed half on the socket and half on the tube and that seemed to take care of the rattle. For the first time in 12 years, this amp is usable. I've read extensively about this problem and while tube rattle itself can be an issue, tube/socket rattle could also be a major issue. I could tell the difference by 1)If I simply touched the tube with an eraser and the tube rattle ended, it's a tube issue. If I had to press hard and make the tube lean in the socket to stop the rattle, then I assumed it was a tube/socket rattle. This seemed to work for my situation. Update a few days later...at higher volume I’m still hearing extensive tube rattle. In addition, two of them melted on the tube. I’ve also read that the rattle may not be specifically tube related but the relation of the tube and the socket rattling against each other. Each experiment requires taking the combo apart to get to the tubes. Based on the melting issue, I’m down grading from 5 to 3 stars. Still trying to solve this problem. I spent big bucks a few years ago for a handwired 18W combo amp. But I never really played loudly and could constantly hear the tubes chime/rattle as a chord was dying out. Very annoying. Swapped out the tubes....same problem. I put these on the noise went away. I put two on each of the power tubes. I'm enjoying the amp for the first time. One thing I will point out - they do smell a bit the first time the tubes get hot. I ran the amp (with the rings on) for about 90 minutes somewhere that the smell wasn't an issue. That also seemed to take care of the smell. Using the amp in my small studio - no trace of odor!!

These work great and totally stopped the rattle on one of the tubes in my Fender Deluxe III. I put these on all the tubes in my amp just in case one developed a rattle later. These are inexpensive so don’t waste your time and money with washers from an auto parts or hardware store. These things are much thicker than other rubber type washers therefore they will dampen some serious vibrations and rattle

Put these EuroDamper Rings on Tung-Sol EL84s in my new Vox AC10. (I installed new T-Sols el84s, in place of stock chinese tubes 1 week after buying amp). About 4 weeks later I began experiencing a ringing chime on the low E and A strings and E and A power chords if I had amp turned up at all. Installed these rings 4 weeks ago. Seemed to help a lil a first, but "chime' continued to appear after playing for about 15-20 mins if I tried to crank up the amp. Became more noticeable a few days ago. Yesterday afternoon when I pulled out the T-Sols and took off the EuroDamper Rings, pieces of the rings stuck to the tube. I am sure if left on for extended period of time they would be melting to the tube. Played using the stock tubes last nite for about 90 minutes with amp cranked louder than I've had it in weeks..... not a hint of the ringingchime I was getting. BOTTOM LINE....The Vox AC10 is Really Hard on power tubes directly as a result of interior amp design. There very well may be instances where these EuroDampers work, but my #1 concern would be the heat factor of the tubes over a long period of time.

Very tight fit on 12Ax7 preamp tubes keeps them stable and quiet at any level. The product does exactly what it was designed for and it is a very worthy investment.
