I was very hopeful for this solenoid based on the reviews. It engaged immediately once installed, but did not disengage when i turned the key off after the motor failed to turn over. It kept running regardless of the key being off and getting off the seat of the mower. It overheated my engine and eventually failed. It did this two more times before completely frying itself.

My ZeroTurn Gravely would not start and after trouble shooting determined the solenoid was bad. The dealer thought they had one but found out most use 4 post solenoids not 2. It would have been $40, which I would have paid just to get the mower running right away. However, it would take a week to get, the same anywhere I else I checked. (We had been gone, they fertilized and then it rained. Needless to say the grass was TALL. )Various forums warned against after market solenoids due to fit and actually working but I had nothing to lose. I checked Amazon, they had several but I chose this one due to 2 day delivery. It was a little more effort to get in because depth of the solenoid was slightly more than my old one, which put it almost against the motor. A different wrench and time and it's RUNNING!My wife couldn't wait to find her way through the grass. LOLWill definitely buy again!

Goes on easy. Fits most gravely lawnmowers. And the value of this solenoid is unbeaten. Motor has fired up for a couple months now without issue so the quality is good so far.
