Not much panning for gold in my part of the US; however, this item is perfect for screening my wood pellets for my pellet grill. The fines in the pellet bag can, if they end up in the hopper, lock up the auger that feeds the firebox. I just put the screen on a 5-gallon bucket and... the wood fines end up in the bucket, not in my Pit Boss.

I use this for separating the ‘fines’ from my wood pellets for my smoker. Works fantastic. The plastic is very strong and the screen is thicker than most making it stronger. Highly recommended.

One of the things when I've noticed over the past years is how much debris is present in potting soil. For the most part it's wooden pieces that are just not beneficial especially when starting seeds. I've begun sifting my potting soil prior to putting it into my seed trays and it's been a great help. The seedlings seem not only to do better, but when I do take a seedling or two for hydroponics, the seedlings come out of the soil so much better and are easily washed because the soil is finer. This is a great tool to have to get rid of the big chuns of wood and bark!
