Your cart is empty. These clavos are made of cast zinc alloy. The thick heads do not rust like iron. The iron nail stem averages 1" in length and about 1/8" thick. The finish is a black powder coat. These are high quality nails, not furniture tacks.

Look great. Some people say they bend when hammering. THEY DON'T bend if you simply drill a guide hole slightly smaller than the diameter of the nail. This additional step is easy. After all, it's not like you are installing 100 of these at a time. Also, put a piece of thick paper or some padding between your hammer and nail and you will be guaranteed not to scratch/chip the coating.

Didn't handle pressure treated wood, some bent. Look great in. For the price, the nail portion should be sturdy, not so fragile.

Exactly what I was looking for and envisioned as the final touches for my new cedar shutters. I suggest a shallow pre-drill and rubber hammer for installation. I will definitely purchase again for my next project of a speak-easy copycat front door.

Powder coating of this product is far superior to paint.
