The "negative" reviews crack me up... This is NOT a paste; read the description. It doesn't need a "cap", because it's stick of rouge, meant to be hard as a rock, and then applied to a buffer wheel that's traveling at a few thousand RPM.The product, performance, and packaging were exactly as expected.

I received the tube with no cap on it and fingerprints smeared over the top of the cardboard tube. There was a baggie taped over it. It is dried out and crumbling, but I suspect that when I spin my Dremel buffing nub over it, the friction will soften it somewhat. Be sure to have your piece pre-sanded to 1000 grit or more before trying to buff with this, or try ZAM instead.

This product is a must if you Polish materials. My sons (4) make a living from Carving IVORY. This product is essential in achieving the high quality glass like shine. It is not the art that sells............it is the "shine". Remember that.We have been doing this daily for near 20 years now. There is nothing better on the market !! We've tried them ALL!!
