the plastic hold down bracket is positioned within the pins making the brackets prone to breakage once installed. What I did is secured each side with only one screw and then pivoted the bracket out in order to get the blinds between the brackets and then straightened them up.

One of the original mini-blind clips in our RV was broken when we bought it (used). I found these and read the description that they would fit 1" mini-blinds. That's what I have in the RV garage area so I thought I was all set. When the clips arrived I promptly got my screwdriver to fix the floppy blind. When I had the new clip installed—using the existing screws and holes—I was dismayed to see that the clips were too far apart to hold the blind. My handy husband said he would fix it, assuming that I did something wrong. He notices that the original clip had a slight angle, and the new clips were a true 90º bend. Ah-haw! It wasn't due to my inability to install a simple screw, it was the design of the clip that made the space too wide. I was able to use a tiny piece of old foam gasket under the outer edge of the clip, in effect creating my own angle, and reduced the distance between the two opposing pins. Now the blind is secured and no longer flaps in the breeze.

I like this product because it holds the blinds in place. What I don't like is the nipple part breaks off so easy.
