There's a few different pictures of products shown and this is the least attractive of them all. This is a sheet of egg crate foam. It's not particularly good at deadening audio but would work better than nothing in a room without anything on the walls or ceiling.I'm using this on the opposite wall to help with some noise produced by an oxygen concentrator. It does help a little but it's a really small amount. It works well for my needs since no one will ever see it. It is a nice value but I think it's performance leaves a lot to be desired. What I liked about it: Does provide some improvement. What I didn't like: It does not look good.Overall, I recommend this foam panel if you need something in a non-visible area and this is the most your budget will allow.

One single sheet of bumpy foam. No attachment mechanism, just a single sheet of foam with bumps.

As advertised. 2" thick foam. Its nice and stiff, not flimsy. easy to cut to shape. We're using it to dampen sound between a couple rooms and it definitely helps. Had a slight smell when we opened it, but we let it air outside for a few hours and its fine now. Price seems on point for style of panel.

This product is just the right density to buffer my generator shed from being too noisy. For years and years I used a smaller inverter generator that was fairly quiet. Buy Hurricane Milton put that small, generator to the test, and I bought a commercial generator (at a low price, bought it after the hurricane from a person that used it once and it sat and gummed up the carb. His loss was my gain) But commercial generators are better built, but always noisier than their consumer cousins. Using these acoustic panels mitigated the extra dB levels. I'm not sure the fireproof rating of these, so I installed an autonomous fire extinguisher and carbon monoxide sensors. This project came out nice thanks to products like this. The instructions said to let it fully decompress from the vacuum packaging, but my panel decompressed in less than a minute to full size with no creases or issues.

This is very basic egg carton foam paneling, the material is average and not very dense. I have other panels that are thicker that have very little give. This material gives very easily with lots of mini air pockets, but still thick enough to block light. This will have only a small effect on sound levels. The cost is ok if you only need one piece, but you can get packs of 4 like this here on amazon for less cost that are a bit thicker than this one.

I was looking for acoustic panels for my home music studio for aesthetics and for sound proofing and this product met my needs. It arrived vacuum sealed but fluffed up quickly after opening and then was ready for mounting to the wall. It comes in a nice long piece that I think would be suitable for most needs. I used my own double sided adhesive stickers to mount it to the wall and it looked great once up. I don’t have any way of measuring this products ability to absorb and reduce sound but I’m sure it helps and it really added to the aesthetic appearance of my home music studio.
