If there is insufficient engine oil, it will cause serious damage to engine parts. If there is too much engine oil, it will cause burning of engine oil and reduce engine power.
  • Product Details: You will receive 1 x transmission oil dipstick. Replacement part number is 31086-JA00A. This dipstick is approximately 20.4" long. It will fit most automotive transmission dipsticks. It is recommended that you check the part number before ordering to ensure fit.
  • Inspection Method: Park the car before inspection, tighten the handbrake, start the engine and when it reaches normal operating temperature, turn off the engine and wait a few minutes for the oil to flow back into the oil pan. Take out the engine oil dipstick, wipe it dry and insert it to check the engine oil level. Between the lower and upper scale marks on the oil dipstick, the oil level is normal.
  • Note: Insert the dipstick into the transmission fill tube until the tool bottoms out, then pull out to read the fluid level. After completing the fluid level check, do not leave the dipstick in the car. Long-term CVT oil vapor will cause damage to the dipstick. Please pay attention to maintenance.

This item DOES NOT fit the transmission dipstick for a 2006 H3 transmission as stated! Way too short!

Great idea because on Nissan CVT type transmissions there is no dipstick. It was nicely made, but too long. It needs a longer dipstick tube on transmission to use it.
