Hey this work great to replace a key lock on my mailbox with just a thumb turn. The key was very hard to match a high security that even the locksmith didn't think he could make one. This does the job. I had to use the original latch which just attaches with a screw on the end of the lock piece. But otherwise good quality I recommend it

I used these cam locks to replace my Bobrick keyed locks on my Bobrick B-3394 combination paper towel and waste receptacle units in our office building. We had 3 units so this 6 pack was a good option. The Bobrick locks were giving out and didn't work in half of the units. The keys were a pain to keep track and we didn't need to worry about locking them because it was not a public restroom. These locks fit the hole, were sturdy and provided a way to retrofit the latch. Bobrick locks are only ½" deep. The shortest common ones are 5/8" deep. That is only 1/8" deeper and the Bobrick could accommodate the extra depth on the lock and the cam came with an offset latch that ultimately produces the same depth as a Bobrick. The latch has a square hole in it and is received by a square peg on the cam. So, you can pick one of four positions to start the latch in.As for the waste receptacle, it was an easy modification. Since this lock only does a ¼ turn you have to put the latch off to the side so the ¼ turn will drop the latch down into position. There were two modification I had to make. I had to straighten out provide offset latch and make the first bend a little higher up because the nut would not clear the bend so it could be seated and screwed into place on the cam. That was annoying because it should have already been made to work this way. I guess I could have filed the edge of the nut down some more to see if that would give it the extra space. The other modification was to shorten the length of the latch, as it was too long. That was easy to grind off and file it smooth. As for the paper towel dispenser. This Bobrick lock only turned a quarter of a turn just like these locks. However, the Bobrick lock is offset 1/8 of a turn more than the starting points on this lock. So, to accommodate this I had to file out 4 corners in the square hole of the latch by 1/8 of turn from the original position. It now looks like a star pattern rather than a square pattern. After this modification, I was able to pick the starting point for the latch and it worked perfectly.I hope this helps somebody that may have some minor fabrication skills to make these work for your Bobrick commercial device.
