There are six in this pack of post bases. I got this for a upcoming project of a solar roof over deck project. I am installing 12"x48" Sonotubes in the ground and these will connect to them via Titen screws or a concrete adhesive and bolt setup. (I have two products I am floating in the design stage of this.) I had this product from a different company in mind previously or a improved variant that requires a bolt in mind as well. I plan to do a vinyl trim around the posts to increase the appeal so this works better. It even comes with screws to attach the post with, but I will be still using nails so I can bring the trim down. These are not sized for exact size posts, they are not actually 6x6 but instead are 5.5x5.5 which is a standard 6x6 measurement these days if you were to source from a local store, just be careful as the higher quality, true 6x6, are out there so bring a tape measure if you are confused.I will point out, that I did see pictures that did worry me, because people were showing a product that did not have a large enough hole to fit a 1/2 inch bolt through, and I was worried I wouldn't be able to use this because of that. Turns out that they may have fixed that as mine will fit a 1/2 inch bolt on all of the bases. There are better bases out there, but all of them are structurally better, while this is the low profile option that even the big name has a design reflecting it. Those other options are for better uplift resistance, which I am still floating as a requirement for my build, but I am not disappointed in this product either. I would recommend not using the provided screws as they are a structural unknown and I would recommend some good exterior nails instead or a more name brand alternative, but they are there if you need them in a pinch or just to save a few dollars.

These are strong brackets for the smaller 6x6 treated material. I put them around the perimeter of my old house that had no brackets. Thicker than some of the other brackets we looked at in this same size. Made of soft structural mild steel fit the bill exactly.

These look fine, but aren't the right size. They're too small so each post needs to be trimmed. If your job is to be inspected, your inspector is going to be looking for details stamped into the metal that sadly isn't there. So, they're the wrong size and don't pass inspection.

The base is aweful. Foremost, a standard (Home Depot bought) treated 6"x6" post does not fit inside the base. I ended up breaking one of the sides off so that I could use the base at all. Secondly, the gauge is so thin that it only takes a pair of pliers to bend the sides up/down before they break off. Lastly, the center bolt hole (for a wedge or sleeve anchor) is too small to accept a 1/2" anchor.

I haven't used them as of yet but it looks like it should be a good product. Nice heavy gauge metal and galvanizing.
