This is a nice tube. My husband is able to store two mats in it for travel. He likes that the end caps fit snugly. They are rubber (or rubber-like) and are easy to get on and off. The tube comes with a black mat, but honestly we have so many mats already we would have preferred just an empty tube at a lower price. If you do need a play mat though and portable storage this is a good buy.

Fits custom mat perfectly. Mat doesn't have to be rolled super tight, just loosely. The ends fit snug which is a good indication they won't fall off. The tube also fits perfect in my MTG backpack side pocket. Will be purchasing another to protect my warlord playmat.

Great round playmat storage tube. I wish it was a little smaller OD because it holds the playmat quite loose and is large. You could roll two playmats into here together. The end caps are silicone and stay on well. The tube is durable plastic. The included playmat is actually pretty good quality with nice clean stitching. This is a great price for a generic playmat and a round storage tube.

Good*fits the 14" vertical just right, as long as you roll it up tightly correctly.*fits the 24" horizontal good. Could fit a 26" fine, maybe up to 28" depending on how thick the mat was.*the end caps are silicone which makes the canister more sturdy and protected and a good weight.*included playmat has good stitching, good size, basic, but useful as a secondary play mat or if you need not flashy for a gameEh* the plastic tube material itself is probably what you would expect for these. Not totally flimsy, but given the more durable silicone ends, if not careful, might ruin the plastic ends trying to put the end caps on as the plastic is not as solid as it could be.

This is a great neoprene mat complete with a decent storage tube. Can't beat the price for this. I ordered it to use with some board games - mats like this are a huge help when it comes to keeping components from sliding around a smooth table. I was surprised at the sturdiness of the tube itself; it's not super thick but it's sturdy for its size and protects the mat well. The value is excellent and the mat functions exactly as it should. Considering how expensive some mats are, especially with storage tubes, this is an excellent buy.

This mat and tube are both good quality. The mat has a stitched edge that is actually better than what is pictured in the listing. My only complaint is that the mat is just a black mat. It's boring. I'm going to try to put my local game store's logo on it with a vinyl heat press.

Note: this DOES come with a playmat as well and it's decent. Actually the plain black ones are best because it's good contrast for you other players to clearly see cards. The hexagonal shape means that the case doesn't roll off the table. It's a pretty sturdy as well. This is a good product overall.

This is a nice solution for games that have good storage for all components except the playmat - provided it's the right size tube for the playmat (it's good for roughly 14" mats). I've found this comes up somewhat often with Kickstarter campaigns where the playmat is an added incentive rather than a default component of the game. This particular tube comes with a blank playmat, which is nice if you actually need one but less helpful if you're interested in storage for your existing playmats. Of course it's still not a problem in that you can set the extra mat aside, but it probably helps account for this particular item being as expensive as other models that have more useful features.I was worried that the plastic might split of the tube were crushed, so I tested it and found it's actually quite durable.
