I like this so much I sold my factory 11 on eBay. I just use this and the 6". I got a full carbon lower for the 900 and have this just attached and swap them build with the stiffness in place.

This coil works exactly as it should and can separate targets exceptionally well if you have your detector set up correctly. It's great at finding small objects mixed in with nails and other iron. My only complaint is that it's not a 10'x5" coil as advertised. When you remove the coil cover, it's 9"x5", exactly the same size as the stock coil on the old XTerra 705 when you hold them together. As for depth I think it's pretty comparable to the 6" coil that comes with the Equinox 900. In spite of the size issue I feel it's a good coil to add to your arsenal especially if you detect around old houses and such.

Used it twice now and great for high iron fields or stubble. Would advise buying a stabiliser especially if using on stubble

I mainly park hunt and this thing is well worth it. Lighter and more maneuverable than the 11" coil, covers more area than the 6" coil, and it's a lot easier to pinpoint your targets. I've found a ton of coins and some jewelry with it so far on the 600. Would definitely recommend. Side note: if you are familiar with the Simplex SP24 9x5 coil, this coil is pretty much the same size even though it's 10x5. UPDATE 7/16/24: Still digging silver jewelry at the parks and I have since used this at the beach. Would still recommend and prefer it over the larger coil. I found a 10k gold diamond ring and a 14k gold diamond earring at the beach and even sniffed out a 10k gold earring from the park this year. UPDATE 9/2/4: Put this coil on an Equinox 900 and got erratic behavior. Contacted CoilTek support, filed a warranty and got a replacement coil that functions normally. Great support and replacement time.

Makes the machine lighter. It is smaller, so you do have to slow your swing. Found my first silver Walking Liberty half Dollar 1918. YouTube The RedHeaded Adventures. Really nice coil.
Coiltec

The coiltec was suppose to be compatible with the Equinox 800, but was not. The detector would not stop chirping making it difficult to distinguish a solid sound while in gold mode. No luck with contacting personnel for the coiltec product and when you call different vendors who sell the coiltec and explain the constant chirping they also do not know how to fix the issue nor heard of the problem. It’s very frustrating to spend this much money on a coil and it does not work properly as well as vendors not having any knowledge regarding the compatibility with the coil and Equinox 800. Overall I am very disappointed with what is supposed to be the top of the line compatible coil! Any help on the matter would be greatly beneficial.

Love this coil. Small enough to get into most tight spots but large enough to cover more ground than the 6" Minelab coil. Both are good coils but for coverage and everyday use, this one works best for me. It's a bit pricey but I think you will like it. Depends on your style of detecting too.
