These work well as replacements for the dreaded clock cap that leaks and obliterates components and the PCB around it. It functions very similarly to the original component in terms of duration it will keep time when unplugged.

This was my first exploration into super caps. They work great, but keep in mind they have a good bit of internal resistance so they don't charge or discharge as quickly as electrolytic.

These caps are perfect replacements for Davis Instruments ISS devices. Replacement is simple... snip out the old one and solder in the new one to the wire stubs left in the ISS. Works perfectly and restores operation of the weather instruments!

This project is Perfect for fixing Davis Weather Stations that give "LOW Battery" warnings over night even with a fresh battery. This is a well documented problem and this Cap is the fix!
