This is absolutely a product where you get what you pay for. They are functional, but are not particularly sharp and the metal they’re made from does not hold its edge for more than a couple punches. They did what I needed them to, but If you plan on doing a good amount of leather working I would consider something a little higher quality

I finally got around to using these the last 2 days . I used about 4 sizes about 20 times each and no issues . I expected I would regret not sharpening them first , but they did fine .I made 12 knives sheaths and 4 holsters with them in the last 2 days .

I had to sharpen (with a round file) the 5.0 cutter after 2 cuts. Then had to bend back the 3.5 cutter because it bent after 2nd or 3rd use. Also had to sharpen that one. The problem is this was about the only set I could find with 50mm half-round cutter.tbh, i don't think this is the solution I'm looking for. a die cutter or some other method of cutting seems more effective.

They were dull, dull, dull when I first got them. I've sharpened the three or so that I use most often, many times, and they still don't cut like they should. I don't recommend them. Spend a bit more for quality punches, like I'm going to do soon.

I have used several of these punches now (without sharpening or any work on the actual items) and they performed quite well. These are not high-quality, and I am not sure how long they will last, but they are certainly worth what I paid for them.

A couple ends of the larger chisels were burred pretty badly and required some file work to fix.I use a tool roll to keep them separated so they don't bang against one another.The larger tools require a few strikes for a clean cut. The punches can slip if you don't set them with a light tap first.My best results are on dry leather. Damp leather does not cut as cleanly.I used to free hand my half rounds. These punches make it so much quicker and easier.

I’m very pleased with these strap end punches. They are sturdy and well made. I’m going to hone the edges prior to use but honestly I have received wood carving gouges that were less well made than these are. There is little need for corrective grinding here. I will update this when I have a chance to use them more
