This works as described. The review that says it doesn't work with 1" EMT might as well say it doesn't work with 5" PVC. It doesn't claim to work with 1" EMT. 1" EMT is not the same OD as 1" Stainless, which it claims to fit and does.

These fittings worked perfectly with 3/4 inch EMT conduit tubing. The price was very reasonable. I used them as soon as they arrived for repairs to an awning frame.

Great buy for the price. The fittings are very sturdy and hold up to the weight when used as a bookcase. Very easy to use and maneuver to postilion. Great buy.

This will not work with 1” EMT. This seems to be made for 3/4” EMT.See the photos I provided, that is 1” EMT for reference.
