I'm a DIY home owner with almost no experience using feathers and wedges. These F&Ws worked really well for me. I split up a very large boulder in my yard using them. The steel material the wedges are made from is really tough. They look no worse the wear after I hammered away at them quite a bit. Having the 3 pieces held together with the O-ring was very convenient. It took a bit f getting used to but the more I used the wedges, the more I grew to appreciate the O-rings. My only wish is that I could order replacement O-rings. I snapped one and haven't had any luck finding something of similar size after searching 3 area hardware stores.

With these wedges I managed to break several large limestone blocks which were approximately 24" x 36" x 26". Worked like a charm!

Sold as 3/4" tools, but they're really 5/8. They fit really sloppy and barely work in 3/4" holes, but they work perfectly in 5/8" holes.I bought these specifically because i was looking for something bigger than 5/8. Don't be fooled, they're actually 5/8 tools being sold as 3/4. they do fit 3/4" holes, but they don't fit properly, and barely work.as 5/8" tools, they work great!
