I have mixed feelings on these filters. On the one hand, they do what they say. The fine mesh does a great job allowing paint, and only paint, to filter through. I tested a few of these with an old can of Sherwin Williams paint that had partially dried up with some chunks and such in it. The filter did it’s job, and I was left with only clean paint.However – the paper part of these is really thin. And I mean, REALLY thin. I’d compare it to a cheap piece of xerox paper. It’s fine as long as you are straining small amounts of paint into a small container. Hobby paint for example. But when I tried to use these to filter into my paint sprayer, they just wanted to collapse and fall into the can.As long as you use these for smaller amounts of paint, straining into small containers, these work just fine. But if you need to strain into a paint sprayer can, you are better off buying something just a little thicker.
