Am still at a loss to figure out how this thin tissue like paper can be working to lubricate a shredder.

These lubricant sheets worked very good on our Amazon Basics paper shredder. We had to use two sheets at a time as the shredder would not engage when only one sheet was used. The instructions said this was a possibility. Our shredder had been squeaking when we used it, especially when it was operated in reverse. We ran 4 lubricant sheets (2 sheets 2 times) through the shredder both in forward and reverse and it no longer squeaked. I was impressed and pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. I would definitely recommend using these to maintain your shredder and quiet it down.

I got these to try and rejuvenate an old paper shredder. I think the speed of rotation has been helped a bit, but it might also be because I cleaned the underside with a brush to try and get old paper out. I had never heard of this before and tried to give it a shot. I'm not sold on it just yet, and I don't think I'll get another set.
