For just $15, this is an OK slide box for my grandson who is just starting to explore with his microscope. This is far from a professional made slide box you would see in a serious laboratory, but then at this price point I was not expecting that. The craftsmanship is mediocre, and it does hold slides, although not all that securely, as they rattle. Of course that is probably due to the cheap slides he is using, which are not as thick as the laboratory slides I used at work. At this price point, it's a great gift for my grandson.

Student grade box for microscope slides. It's fine for junior high or high school science classes, for home learning, and for science clubs. It's not professional grade, the hinges are a bit flimsy, but it will do the job.Includes a sheet for cataloging the slides.I ordered two boxes, one with 100 slots, the other with 50. This is for home use, we're a science-loving family, so even though it's not a heavy-grade box this is fine for us.

I work with microscope slides all the time, so my standards are high when it comes to caring for and storing them. I have very mixed feelings about this slide storage box. It's functional. It'll get the job done. But it came in very poor condition, and that's a problem. It's banged up, missing a couple of small sections of wood, and doesn't close properly. There also is a small area that looks sort of warped - almost water damaged. It's not something that I would want to use in a professional setting. It's just not attractive as it is. As far as its functionality, it holds slides just fine. It has a capacity for 50 slides, which is nice. There is a thin foam-type lining in the top of the storage box to give slides some protection, and the slides are held snugly in their slots. I will use this slide storage box to store some older slides so they'll be safe and secure, but it's just not something I want to pull out and use in front of students or colleagues.

This microscope slide box is terribly constructed; it feels unfinished and shoddily made. The wood is rough, jagged, and not sanded down, making it unpleasant to handle. It’s spot-glued together, and the construction is so poor that the box is too wide to actually hold slides properly, completely defeating its purpose.The hinges and clasp are flimsy, and the sticker on the top doesn’t come off cleanly, requiring a solvent to remove completely. Overall, this product feels cheap, rushed, and unfinished.If you need a functional microscope slide box, look elsewhere; this one doesn’t even do the job it’s supposed to.
