I ordered 3 of these lights initially. When they arrived, one was not working. Amazon put me through hell to get a refund. I figured it was just a fluke that a bad one came, so I ordered the same one for a replacement. It worked for a few days then went out. Another of the initial 3 burned out in less than 30 days. Getting a refund is so frustrating, I am not going through it again. I will just order a different product now.

i bought five bulbs- one didn't even strike up. just glowed blue and smelled hot. another one was burning a strange yellow color as soon as it was turned on. it was turned off 30 min later because it wouldn't strike up...it was scary hot and had a strange yellow etching to the inside of the bulb. in other words 2 out of 5 bulbs were broken. i am in contact w the seller for a return. the other bulbs are working fine (a week in). I've grown w these before--they grow plants very well.

Put this in my hydroponic greenhouse and it has a wonderfully bright yellow glow which looks like a mini sun radiating from the wall. The plants seem to like the rays it is releasing as well. Pervious lights I have purchased have a white light that screams artificial. This light was a nice upgrade and a wonderful value.

you really cant beat the quality for the price.. if you replace these ever 4-6 months of use your lighting will remain optimal , if you are going to spend that much money on time and electricity using these and replacing them is worth the investment. having worked in a jhydroponic store i know the wholesale cost of these which isn't much lower than the retail price, and the people at the plantmax company are good people (had a small business little guy vibe) that offers a quality product. Yes i think eye hortiluxes are better in theory but in practice i honestly cant tell the difference

I use this for my greenhouse.It works great, no issues with it. It may or may not deliver the light like the more expensive brands, but I run cooled fixtures (they are ice cold) so I can move the plants as close to the light as I want. So in my case with this bulb I can always get the plants so close where they can become LIGHT stressed (bleaching or tough leaves) way before heat stress. 1.0-1.5# dried per light every-time with this bulb in my horizontal soil SCROG without CO2. I've been running one for 8 months now. I don't see how that could be beat for the price!

I've only been using this for 2 weeks now, but it seems to be getting the job done. Using on 1000w Lumatek Dimmable ballast. If you don't want to pay tons of money for the "enhanced grow bulbs" than this is the choice for you. I'm sure it's not the greatest around but it is aimed at growing and the price is right.They were packaged well for shipping which is a huge plus.
