Nice crochet stitch book with pictures and instructions for each of the stitches shown. Gave this as part of a crochet yard, notions and book gift basket. Will probably buy a copy for myself. Some of these stitches I have never seen. Going to have lots of fun and use up some of my yarn stash making a sampler afghan

I had never crocheted before purchasing this book and some hooks. Quarantine gave me plenty down time to learn something new so I decided to try crochet. This book was extremely helpful in my learning this craft. Once you learn the terminology, it's pretty simple going forward. I made this afghan based on patterns from this book. It is my very first crochet project and I must say I think I did pretty darn well my first time out the gate.

When I was a tad bit younger, I loved Annie's Attic Crochet monthly booklet. When I saw this was an Annie's Attic book I knew it would be well-written and easy to follow. I was right. There are a lot of different stitch patterns, some edging patterns, a couple of afghan patterns (mainly sampler afghans from the stitches, but gorgeous nonetheless.I'm very happy with my purchase. This is a fairly comprehensive collection of patterns when it was written. It doesn't include some of the newest stitches, but those are easy enough to find on the internet. I wanted some of the older (read - unusual... what's old becomes new again!) stitches to design my own afghans, scarves, etc. This fits the bill nicely and was certainly priced right. I purchased this through a "fulfilled by Amazon" deal.I would recommend this for anyone who loves to crochet. It makes a good addition to a crochet library.

Brilliant book! I borrowed from our local library and was so impressed, I bought the book. A step on from crocheting granny squares, introducing some relatively straightforward stitches and patterns.Instructions are good and clear with excellent pictures of each square. Easy instructions to enlarge or reduce the size of the squares.Well worth the price.

C'est en anglais mais chaque granny à son tuto, bien détaillé et simple à comprendre et à exécuter. Les modèles de plaids sont originaux et donnent très envie de finir ce projet.

I love the wide selection of stitch patterns in this book. I also appreciate the way you can adapt any of the patterns to whatever you are making, no matter the size, because each pattern has a guide that tells you what multiple of starting chain you will need for the particular stitch. So you can make a baby blanket, a large afghan, or just a dish rag with any of the patterns. I also like the ideas for making two sampler afghans. The border patterns are an added bonus. I'm really glad I bought this book.

I self taught myself crochet, and I have been trying to learn new stitches. This book really helped. It also has a "beginner's guide" (I'd like to call it) that helped me to better understand some meanings and how to's. (such as front and back post and how to add a different color) One thing I really like about this book is that it doesn't have a gauge or certain hook and yarn weight. So if you want to experiment, you can. However, some of the stitches are kind of confusing. I'm not sure if this is because I'm a "beginner" of sorts or if they really are confusing. I have looked up other reviews, and everyone else seemed to really like this book. So it could just be me. :)

The book has a lot of nice designs but some are a little difficult. You need to pay very close attention to what you are doing. Not conducive for one who is imited on time.
