I have reduced circulation in my legs. I was ordered by my doctor to put on a fitbit and walk several miles a day and do so many flights of stairs. Neither of which my knees appreciated nor did I at 2 am when the weather was bad and my only option was to walk or take a bunch of really nasty medications that still didn't fix the problem.I've tried treadmills and stationary bikes and not liked either. Someone recommended this very unit. Salvation.Lightweight and it does come in parts, but easy to assemble. It fits under the coffee table. The stirrups do have a couple of snap notches for adjusting. I put this next to the couch, slouch a little, put on the earbuds and fire up my tablet and start in. The range of motion is excellent and easy to do-very little effort. It has resistance but I have it 'free' mode because what I need is the muscles to move and naturally force the accumulated fluids and that back out. This does it with minimal impact to my hips, knees, and ankles. It is almost mindless to get it started and just pump away until the legs feel better. No more restless legs and that strange ache. I don't push it hard or fast, but at a moderate steady pace. It's not really sturdy enough for fast or hard, but for what I do need, it's perfect.Best investment of ($17.06 plus tax when I bought it). I don't care about fancy, I just care about results. It has given me back a lot of sanity. No more doing that strange bouncy bit with the legs (fidgeting on steroids). No more walking in weird weather. No more something taking up that much space and I hate using it. I give this five of five stars and two of two legs.I need to go on a long trip soon and it will come apart and fit in a suitcase-it will be a bit of a space eater but it will break down to fit in one of my wheeled suitcases. Win-win.

I bought this product for my Grandmother who is just over 80 years old. She has put on a little weight over the years so it's harder for her to get around now. She needs to keep exercising but being on her feet means carrying around the extra weight which makes her tire quickly. This product does have adjustable resistance which is great. I didn't really test out the feature to much considering it wasn't going to be used for heavy resistance.I had this shipped to my house so I could put it together and test it out before I handed it over to her. She keeps in her kitchen which is linoleum so she can sit on a kitchen chair and pedal away. She has some water retaining issues with her one ankle and this helping to keep the swelling down a bit. She says she sits down in the kitchen and uses this at least every other day.The resistance is enough to give someone like her a workout without having it take a toll on the joints. She really seems to be enjoying working out.I would recommend this to anyone who has an elder person or a person who just needs to get some motion workout in.If you are looking to get a real workout then this is not the product for you. This product is not ment for heavy use and long cycling.

I enjoy watching TV murder mysteries and was worried that I was wasting not only my brain but my body too! So now I found the solution for my body (at least). My mom has a similar machine so I decided to order this one and give it a try.Assembly was a no-brainer which is an important issue for me. I no longer purchase anything I have to put together. For $25 it is a good buy... but I wouldn't pay a dollar more. It is pretty flimsy and wobbly but it gives me a good workout for 45 minutes to an hour. I definitely feel it in my legs and I am sure my jeans fit better the next day!It is an addition to 30 minutes of Richard Simmons in the mornings and a 30 minute plus walk during the day, on top of slogging up and down all the stairs in my house. I would not depend on these pedals for my only exercise routine of the day... it's just an extra.I also use light weights for my arms while using this, all from my easy chair. It's really a lazy way to exercise and I love it!Having said that, it is pretty annoying as the machine runs away from me about every 10 to 15 minutes. Without warning the feet flip around and then the thing slides across the carpet. The only way I could think of stopping this would be to use it up against a wall. But it only takes 30 seconds to retrieve it, flip the rubber feet back around, and I am pedaling away again. I am going to try gluing the feet in place to see if that helps.I use it with socks on my feet. I take a women's size 9 athletic shoe which is too bulky to fit in the stirrups. Maybe a smaller tennis shoe or casual shoe would fit but I haven't tried so I don't know. Now I have this exerciser I am addicted to using it and don't feel so guilty about watching all those whodunits on TV!

For $20, this little exerciser does a pretty good job.It only took a minute or two to put it together. Mine smelled a bit like motor oil when it was fresh out of the box, but I haven't noticed the scent since. (My cat seems to love the smell of it, though, and likes to sleep leaning against the bars. Go figure.)As others have noticed, some of the metal parts near your legs get hot when you use it, so you might want to wear sweatpants or long socks to protect yourself. (Your legs won't normally touch those metal pieces, but the machine is light enough that it's not always stable.) It's true that there isn't a lot of resistance, and when you tighten the knob enough to get some, it's difficult to have a smooth pedaling cycle. Still, even without much resistance, all you have to do is keep pedaling--your heart rate will go up and you'll start to feel it.I'm reasonably pleased and probably would have given this four stars since it's so inexpensive, but the rubber "feet" on the bottom have left dark, oily stains on my tan carpet after only a couple of uses. To be safe, you might want to clean the feet thoroughly before you put it together, or use the exerciser on a surface you don't mind getting dirty.
