The borosilicate glass can withstand the temperature from -20℃ to 150℃, enabling boiling or frozen water be poured directly into it.
Warm Tips
- For glass material, there is about 1% breakage rate. If you receive a damaged package, please take a photo for replacement instead of return
- Dishwasher safe, BUT Hand wash is better, don't use hard object such as stainless steel sponge
- Don't use it on induction cooker, BUT stovetop safe, small fire is recommend
- Keep kids away from the water pitcher when it is filling with hot water
- Don't pour boiling water immediately after a long period of freezing, when you take out from the refrigerator

UPDATE: Just a few months after writing the positive review, I have to change from 5 star to 2 star. I so very much wanted to love this - and I did - until a moment ago. All I did was to put a few ice cubes in the bottom of the pitcher and the bottom just blew out. Thankfully, it didn't shatter - it broke into three fairly large pieces that I could pick up easily. I'm so sad ... I loved this until now. I really don't think putting ice cubes in the bottom should have broken it so easily. It was room temperature at the time. Bummer.I bought this to replace a plastic jug - trying to eliminate plastics from my life. I use this to make my own iced tea - so I have ice cubes in the bottom and pour boiling tea over it. This glass pitcher handles the quick change in temperature. It’s sturdy and has a terrific lid. The glass feels fragile because it’s thin - but it’s a very sturdy glass that is made through a process (looked it up online).

I love the pitcher, but it came without the lid. I don't want to return it. I would just like Abdodar to send us the lid. Since I don't have the lid I can't assess whether the pitcher is leak proof. I would probably give a much higher overall rating if we got the lid!UPDATE: After posting my first review, Abdodar contacted me and sent me a new pitcher with the lid. Now the pitcher is perfect. This is the right size for us. It is attractive and the lid fits snugly. It is also lightweight, which makes it easy to handle when it's full. Very happy with it. 5 stars now

This is the second one that I bought. Busted again, it lasted 7 months. Unfortunately, it is very fragile, and I broke it again while washing it; it hit the edge of the sink, did not break completely, and I managed to use it for a week or so after that.It was great for making much green tea at once and behaves well while boiling water, and the stainless steel lid was just excellent. Sadly it is very fragile, and being the second one I broke, I cannot trust myself anymore; I really liked it.4 stars because with daily use, you will break it; trust me, you will; if you treat it as a 6-month expense, like 6 bucks a month, then go ahead, buy, and keep buying.

The handle is extremely thin for the size of this pitcher. I have to hold the bottom every time because I'm scared it'll break off. The pitcher itself is really nice though for hot and cold beverages.
