Seems to work fine for everyone else but it didn't for me. It would connect and show links and pass traffic, ran a speed test and 950Mbps down, great, 10 Mbps up!!! What? Supposed to be 950Mbps. Swapped out SFP and Cat6 cable, same results. Replaced media converter with another that I had and speeds were asymmetrical at 950Mbps. Worked with 6Com support and they said must be something wrong, please return and reorder. Did that, same results. I am giving them 4 stars due to their quick and easy support and the fact that it seems to work for everyone else. Just didn't like something in my setup, I guess.

No fuss, no muss, just plug it in and it work. I have 2 running for the last 3 weeks with no issues and they do not get hot.

Works perfectly - 2.5 GbE in, sent over fiber to provide an air gap in case of lightning on my cable modem.Works absolutely perfectly in a pair with the same SFP+ on either end.

I'm sure it will work for other use cases, but if you want to bypass your Telus ONT, this is not for you if you have a +3 Gig plan. You'll need to keep the Telus equipment in bridge mode.

I have been struggling to try and make my optical port work with my new Cox modem, but it turns out my wifi router's optical port would not drop down to lower speeds. It was 10GBPS or 1GBPS. I love my gaming router, so needed a solution. this was it! Now I get the full speeds I am paying for and the performance for my router and am very happy! Great product!
