These rods are great. The diameter is consistent for the full length of the rod, the ends are flat and nicely chamfered. I've bought a few other brands of linear rods from Amazon, and I've got some that were unhardened mild steel, some where the ends looked they were cut with an angle grinder, and even rods that were oversized +0.006 at one end and caused bearings to jam. These are the first ones I've gotten that are actually perfect.

A precision caliper shows it to be more near 10mm diameter than my Metabo drill spindle. It fits into Metabo's spindle bearing better than Metabo's own spindle does!

I bought this to work on Toro sprinklers. It is slightly smaller than the internal diameter and now I have one that is long enough to work on even the 12 inch Toro sprinklers. I have had problems with dirt/sand getting into the sprinkler when I have problems and not able to get the sprinkler (especially the filter) out of the sprinkler. With this I have a "weapon" to tackle those problems. I purchased a shorter one (same diameter) but realized it was not long enough for all of the sprinklers I have. I have used this a couple of times and it works for my needs.

EDIT: 3/5 gallon jugs of water no issues... Wheels will go before the axle.. Next- build a bigger and better cart with 20 inch rims...(ACM sheets for the box) and bolted aluminum rails with 1/4 aluminum sheets DIY gussets..Using for a cheap bike cart fix, as a solid axle. Had a weld come lose on one side. So I ran this through the axle weld pipe brackets.(2 short pieces of tubing, welded to the frame, 2 short axle pins) Was just going to drill out the frame on both sides, and run it through the cross bar section. Then bolt flush bearing blocks oOo. to the frame that would work.. But then just figured it was easier just to run it through the existing mount brackets.Works great 2/ 5 gallons of water jugs and 2 cases of cola. pop if your from the south, and some groceries.. so about 120lbs

Can't tell you how many times I have purchased rails and they do not come even close to the tolerances they are advertised to have. So far ReliaBot has delivered! These rods are even noticeably heavier than the others!
