These are good grinding discs, but they are not flexible, at least by my definition. They're a bit more flexible than cast iron, but not by much. And they certainly aren't as flexible as one of the pictures in the Amazon ad. I tried to flex one and it cracked.

I don't quite 'get' how this/these discs are 'flexible' however...I've found great grinding ability when restoring hardened/tempered lawn mower blades. It's easy to develop the finesse needed to do precise, delicate work.

These are just 1/8" grinding disks..not flexible at all... if you're expecting them to be fully flexible then you'll be disappointed AT FIRST..after I used them I found that they are quite good. Excellent abrasive and last fairly long for as aggressively as I was ripping... they're good 👍

These are very similar to the other green wheels on the market. They work as well or better I think. They are very aggressive and last a while

They don't hold up like some of the name brand ones, but for the price, they don't need too.In all honesty though, I'm using about 1 and 1/3 disc to a named brand one, but these cost about 1/4 to 1/10 the price depending on that brand you buy. So for me, it's a no brainer. And to those people that say, "well you need to change them more often and it will slow you down".... Have never used a grinder in a shop environment, you can literally change a disc in less than 15 seconds.

I so dislike misleading advertising. A flexible grinding disc to me infers something that will grind around a contour for example. A disc that will go where a hard non-flexible disc won't. These are not that. That said, for only $1.30 each, they work great! They do wear down after serious use, but then virtually all grinding discs do. These actually lasted longer than I thought they would. They are aggressive. Use these where you want to take away metal, not just surface rust unless you are very careful or you don't mind a few serious scratches in the metal. Only four stars due to the misleading advert.

I go through a lot of grinding wheels. I'm always looking for new better options. These are described as "flexible", but they are totally inflexible. It's hard to know from the picture whether these are flat or beveled disks. The picture makes them appears beveled like a tight 29 disk. They are not beveled at all. They are perfectly flat, like a type 27. The waffle-like pattern on the disk, I assume, are to make them more aggressive and less likely to clog. These disks are aggressive and because they are stiff, not soft and squishy like flap wheels, you can grind down a weld flat. They do the job OK. They are not nearly as aggressive as some of the newer ceramic abrasives are, but they are also a lot less expensive.

First off, as my title says, these wheels have no markings on them at all. My safety brain says therefore under no circumstances would I ever use these at/ for work. They are very reasonably priced, and I feel somewhat confident using them for general work (avoiding aluminum).I did have them “load up” on me while grinding galvanizing off some parts before welding. Because of this, I imagine the same would happen with painted material. They aren’t super aggressive, if you are nice with them, and leave a smoother finish then a “traditional” grinding wheel. With them filling up between the outer grooves with galvanizing material, it worries me about grinding aluminum. As I understand it, when aluminum is embedded in the grinding disk it can lead to explosions of the disk during thermal expansion. Because there are no ratings saying it can be used for this, and based on its design, I’d avoid it at all costs for this, unless you understand it better than I do.They are about half the thickness of a normal grinding disk (but much thicker than a cutting disk). So far, I'd put the lifespan as about the same - that is, half the life. I'm only using mine with a variable speed grinder and a battery powered version to keep the speed down, in fears of them blowing apart.

I have some metal items that have developed some rust over the years and is time to clean and repaint them. I saw this 10PACK - 4 1/2"×1/8"×7/8" Flexible Grinding Wheel for Metal and thought I try these out over the more aggressive grinding wheels I have. It seemed that the diamond pattern would also help with keeping the wheels from getting clogged from the paint that is on the items I planned to work on.From the description I thought that they would be flexible as noted, but they are quite stiff, and I did not notice they have much flexibility to them. However, they are thin and do not seem to wear down as fast. I figured the 10 pack would serve well in case the wheels wear down fast, but because they are not as flexible as I imagined, but rather surprisingly rigid durable, for my current project the 10 pack is more than I need. So far, I have only used one wheel and does not seem like it is anywhere close to needing replacement. I suspect this may be a good multipurpose grinding wheel. However, these did a great job at removing rust and some old paint from the metal items I worked on.For the purpose that I got these for, I am very satisfied with the results of these grinding wheels and feel that they will lend themselves great for other projects. For the listed price, I feel these are of good quality and a great value, definitely worth buy again.
