I actually don't participate in marathons, so I cannot comment on how well these bib clips work in that situation. But I use them to scrunch up the bottoms of my oversized shirts and they work fantastic for that I purchase t-shirts two or three sizes larger than I need, because I like them to be "roomy"...and they cover my "muffin top" well...lol. The shirts are always too long and so I'm able to adjust the length with these magnetic clips. The magnets are strong and they remain securely in place throughout my daily activities. They're also small and discreet. I'm super happy with them.
