Apperloth A put together a nice set of plant and tree accessories for your landscape. It comes with 10 pieces of tree guards made from a flexible plastic material. You buckle the guards together inserting the tabs into the slots. you can create whatever size circle you need, and they can also be stacked on top of each other. If stacked you do need to twist tie them together to keep them straight as they do not hook together in the stack. They also included in the set are plant labels, garden plant ties, adjustable plant ties and two different sizes of support clips. I have my tree staked and I was able to run the canvas tree stake ties through the slots in the trunk protector and that worked out nicely.

It is certainly on me for not noticing the size of these - but these protectors are TINY. I can't even figure out a use for them because I don't have any trees so small that I could use these for. I tried connecting a couple together, but they don't hold shape as well. Just be sure to check the size before purchase and make sure it's what you need.

We live on a property and have lots of deer in the area. I needed something to protect my new tree. Instructions were not super clear and each unit doesn't lock with each other, so I had to zip tie it together. But thus far it is been effective to keep deer away from tearing bark

So the idea of these panels is good, but the execution is a bit lacking. I got these to keep the deer from stripping the bark off my peach tree, and was hopeful these would help. The panels are hard to snap together, they don't hold together well at all. It took a while to get them together and then get them around the tree trunk but I eventually got it all together. Before the end of the day they had popped apart and were strewn across the lawn, just from the wind. I ended up using the twist ties that came with this kit to tie each panel to the others, and then tied it together around the base of the tree. That seems to have worked so far, but if I knew that I'd have such a time getting this all done I probably would have spent an extra dollar or two on an easier to use product.

I ordered the Apperloth A 10pcs Tree Trunk Protector to protect the trunk of some young fruit trees. Although I feel nimble when using the weed eater around my trees and plants, sometimes the line gets too close to a tree to strike the trunk. These trunk protectors should help protect them. The Apperloth A Tree Trunk Protectors feel strong and rigid enough to withstand the line of a weed eater. The great thing about these trunk protectors is their modular design to attach them together to fit larger or longer trunks. I am only using a single protector for the small trees, so I am not sure how well they will hold up if one joins all ten pieces to create one trunk protector. For my use, these are perfect and stay together around the tree trunks. The kit did come with some ties that I thought I would need, but there had been no need to use the ties to keep these protectors together. However, a great addition to this kit would have been landscape staples or stakes to hold these protectors in place. Fortunately, I have several staples from other projects that I was able to use with these trunk protectors. The extras that came with this kit are actually very useful for around the garden, I am not likely to use the plant labels, but the other items are things I regularly use, so that was a nice bonus.I am pleased with this Tree Trunk Protector kit and the ones in use are holding well. The panels are well made and seem of good quality, so unless they shatter during a winter freeze that my area has yet to have, I would recommend this product as I feel these are a great product for protecting tree trunks.

These tree guards are sturdy and fit together easily and securely. They are quicker and easier to assemble than any other method of tree trunk protection that I have tried so far. They are essentially modular, so you can assemble single pieces for small seedlings or other plants you want to protect, or create larger and/or wider protection for larger plants or tree trunks. The plastic pieces are well perforated with slats, so they let in air and light while keeping most animals out. They will easily provide protection from string trimmers and mowers as well. However, they do not come with any kind of staples to secure them into the ground. I will likely use metal u-shaped landscape staples that I have on hand for this purpose. In some cases, for seedlings, for instance, I will also use zip or twist ties to secure the tubular protection to stakes in order to keep them upright. The kit also comes with some nice plant tags, adjustable plant ties (long reusable zip ties, kinda nifty), plant support clips, and green twist-ties. The twist ties come in a spool with an attached cutter (works fine) so you can cut the twist ties to whatever length you need. The extras in this package are nice quality, and handy if you're a gardener, but it would have been nice if they had included some landscaping staples to secure the tubes to the ground. The tubes are useful, easy to use, and the color is nice. But if you have, for instance, a lot of young trees to protect from a large and active deer population (like we do), you would need very many of these kits and it would be more cost effective to use an alternative means. Although there are 10 panels in this kit, they are small and there are not enough to protect more than two or three trees at most.
