Function:
1. Cleaner: Cut off the tip and clean the glue, smoother and easier to glue to make tips stable.
2. Trimer: Trimming tips, easily trim the desired curvature.
3. Presser: Compacting cue tips.
4. Suffer: Rough grinding, make it easier to polish the next step.
5. Shaper: You can lightly scrape the tip using a rotating motion to contour the tip to the desired dome curvature you are comfortable with.
6. Radius Slot: Check cue tip curvature, make the shape perfect.
7. Aerator: Tool end screws off to reveal a tip aerator/picker to pick the tip. Slightly break up the surface of the tip when it is new or it has been compressed after being used for a while so it will hold more chalk.
8. Tapper: Only need simply roughen up the surface of the tip so chalk will adhere to the tip. For better ball control.
9. Cue Ferrule Cleaning: Remove excess cue tipand residual glue
10. Provide Six Different Radii: Place the polished billiard club leather head on the curvature detection and comparison hole to calibrate the curvature of the leather head.

This tool contains about any function you'd need to condition/maintain a tip while out and about. It's well constructed, the main structure being a machined block of aluminum then embellished with the textured divots, blade (solidly screwed in, and they give you the hex key to tighten down the bolts if not) and so on. The clear box and instructions it comes with doubles as a carry case to put in a cue bag pocket. No complaints.

I maintain my own pool cues and have for over 50 years. I have several specialty tools for installing and maintaining cue tips. This tool will do every job my other tools do but maybe not as well. The part of the tool that prepares the ferrule must be held square to the tip of the cue by the user. My specialty tool holds itself square so I can't mess it up. The instructions seem to indicate that the cue is moved while this tool is held still. That won't work. It does have several tip shaping tools that work quite well. My favorite part of the tool is the blade that trims the side of the tip. This is very handy if your cue tip tends to mushroom.
