These are M3 nylon lock nuts. I needed them to secure the wedge on a small combat robot and they have worked as advertised.

Summary: These are nylon self locking stainless steel nuts, size. Generally, stainless steel hardware is twice the cost of non-stainless, so these are a great price at $0.13/each.Observations: These are listed as 304 stainless. Relatively recently, the designation for stainless started showing up as 18-8 instead of the typical 300 series (304) marking. Essentially, 18-8 grade fastener has 18% chromium and 8% nickel content, which is the same as 304.Recommendation: For nylon nuts, you can usually only re-use them a few times before the nylon insert becomes ineffective. The way to check that is by measuring the "running torque". Another best practice is there needs to be a couple of threads engaged past the nylon locking insert.Pros: fair price ($0.13/each).Cons: SMARTSAILS has 48 offerings, mostly fasteners, and 8 are "nylon nuts".Conclusion: At $7 for 56 nuts ($0.13/each), rating this 4-stars (specialty manufacturer).
