This hitch is build well and worked perfect for my Polaris sportsman with a 1.25” hitch, getting it up higher and allowing me to use 2” hitches

I'll be welding a step bumper plate to it to have what I need because there's no 1.25 inch insert for the step bumper and using the adapter extends the step bumper too far from the car.

Pros: VERY solid (literally, the 1.25" portions are solid, not square tubes)Cons: sloppy measurements, has no discernible use.The product specifically says not to use for towing, only for bike or cargo racks and such. However, it fits very loose (maybe that's normal, this is my first tow receiver) because the bar is actually right around 1-3/16" rather than 1-1/4" in both dimensions. In other words, the cross-section area of the adapter's bar is only 90% of the open area of the receiver. That's a TON of wiggle room.To make that worse, the pin holes are all 5/8" (actually measured at 11/16" so again an extra 1/16 of open space), but 1.25" hitch receivers have 1/2" holes for the pins to secure it in place. This means that the 1/2" pin required to hold it in place leaves about 3/16" (!!) of empty space inside the adapter's hole, letting it shift & rattle around quite a lot!As a result, any rack you mount will be very loose fitting and rock/tilt side to side quite a bit at the slightest movement. With 100-200lb twisting that 1.25 (actually 1.1875") bar any time the rack tilts, I'm worried about the receiver sleeve getting bent/stretched/distorted.As a final poke in the eye, mine came with a pair of 5/8" pins, although it's supposed to have one 5/8" and one 1/2", so the pins it came with wouldn't fit through the holes on the receiver. I had to use my own 1/2" bolt to secure it, which is when I found out that it fits so loosely.Needless to say I will be returning this, since it fails to fulfill its functional purpose.

I have not taken this product on the road yet, but so far it looks to be capable of meeting my needs. I wanted to be able to get a Cargo Carrier for my hitch, but I only have a 1-1/4" class 2 trailer hitch on my car, and need a 2 inch adapter. While I could have just opted for a straight conversion square, I think having the extra "beer can" height will help a little to keep the Carrier from hitting the ground on those steep hills, as well as making loading a little bit easier than on my basic trailer hitch, at its current level.
