Purchased this unit for a repair on a 2002 Mercury 6hp 2 stroke, but this unit would not mount flush to the block. The mounting holes were slightly off. I could get the screws started, but could not tighten for fear of breaking off the mounting holes. Cant comment whether the unit worked as I did not hook it up once I determined it would not mount correctly.

It does work but not when you follow instructions. At least on my engine . When I hooked it up like they say to it doesn’t start and pops through the exhaust. So I swapped the + wires at the coil and it started right up and seems to be running fine now .

Switch box replaced original perfectly on my 99 Mercury 25hp tiller handle. Works great no issues. Been on there for several months now.
