This fish lip gripper is built tough and resists rust in both fresh and saltwater. The rotating handle and non-slip grip make handling even slippery fish like eel pout or tullibee much easier, and safer for catch and release. A built-in scale is a handy bonus for weighing fish up to 40lbs.While $40 is a bit of an investment, this tool becomes invaluable when dealing with slimy or spiny fish. It provides a secure grip and simplifies hook removal, making it a worthwhile addition to your tackle box, especially for challenging catches.

This little thing is made very sturdy and works like a charm our son has packed it away in his fishing bag to be used all the time. So far it has held up perfectly

Very sturdy tool that is very easy to use. The build is very high quality and I suspect will last a long time.

This gripper with scale comes really handy and works very well for me. I know I know, all the bad omens people tend to believe. But I took this with me on 4 fishing occasions in the past 2 weeks and I must say, things went well; though there aren't much to catch in the water this time of the year, upon catching some snapper, I was able to use the gripper and weigh my catch. I'll say, though, this scale isn't too accurate below a 5-lb fish for the spring is still too hard for the scale to move enough. And I did try to verify the scale with a suitcase at home, got all of 30, 35, 40 pounder on the spot. Granted I've never caught fish that big, it's good to have a tool like this on the spot. The gripper itself is also sprung and it's actually very strong, no fear of losing the fish unless their jaws are ripped off. But overall, quite robust, quite useful, and for the price, this is a much better alternative than the digital ones that I've seen out there. Highly recommended.

Not a fan of holding the fish by it's face hole, these have been perfect. I'm using them on small bass or larger perch in our stocked lake. It is a great size, fits in my tackle box and the clip is awesome for keeping it close by. The grip and feel is very good, don't feel like anything is hard to use. The scale is a nice bonus but I'm just tossing them back after pulling the hook, more of a leisure activity for me.

I love these grippers. Not to big and bulky like plastic ones and not to trin like other metal ones that tears the fishes mouth like some do. Perfect size.

The main purpose of the device is to grip the fish's lip while trying to remove the hook. To that end, it does a very nice job. The handle has a nice feel, and overall the tool is well built. However, as others have said, the scale is inaccurate with large weight fish and cannot be trusted. I'm not big on measuring my fish anyway like some guys to brag, but it would be helpful to have an accurate, trustable scale. Would be 5 stars otherwise.
