Brand new out of the box and they started causing tear outs no matter how light a cut I tried. When I swapped in an Easy Wood Tool Ci2-Ri2 on the same piece I stopped having problems.File this one under "the high cost of going cheap". The rework time alone on a blank blowout means that these are more expensive than quality ones.To late for me to return, these are now in the trash

I tried a couple other square cutters that both had "radius" in the title. That title was incorrect. These, however, are the real deal.These cutters are nearly identical to my Easy Wood Tools Ci2 R2 square 2" radius inserts. There is a slight difference in that they don't cut quite as smooth. They can leave a small amount of tear out, though it is really negligible. A careful final delicate cut will leave a surface as nearly smooth as I was able to achieve on a test piece of pine wood using the EWT insert.Given that these cutters cost about the same for 10 of them as a single similar EWT cutter, I would call that a good deal on a good cutter.The cutters came in a small blue plastic case with 10 partitions that is easy to open and close.

They should give one free and have customers for life, but be warned you must place these in your holder squarely when tightening , if you bind them you can shatter these when you tighten them up, carbide is very brittle.

I use this primarily for wood pen turning. These work great for rough cuts and finishing shapes for 95% of my pens. Others I use a diamond for lines or groove for inlay.
