I don't know how else to describe it, but the sockets arrived with a power-like substance that rubs off on your hands, and has also spread within the box and left marks. The only way that I know to describe it is if you know what a shotgun smells like after firing it, that's what the residue/powder resembles. If you don't, the next best description I can come up with is it's a smokey smell, a sort of blend of cigar smoke and a campfire.I tried some of the sockets with a couple ratchet adapters I had handy, and they were a tight fit, but did fit. You will probably not need to use these very often, but I cannot think of any way to work with the larger square fasteners, especially the female - there's really nothing I'm aware of that can be used as a workaround. So this is one of those products that you should get to keep on hand, just in case, and that's why I have them. It came in a sturdy, compact plastic case. They're good, I just don't understand why they arrived "dirty"...?

Only used one but it took a beating and got the job done. Love having a case. I used to buy tools on price. Now I buy if it has a case to keep things in order.

Worked great to get easy out wedge in to remove broken spark plug. Wish it had a way of keeping hold of tap/easyout. Great for the money
