We have learned that in rainy weather, water can accumulate in the center of the pool cover, which puts undue load-bearing pressure on the pool cover and can lead to tearing and breaking situations. Overall it's ok. The cover functionality is great. However the material is very cheap. Not as thick as it looks.... If your looking for a high quality above ground pool cover this is not the cover for you. Also be sure you get a center support. This material is not load barring at all. 😅

The 10’ pool cover is light, tightly woven and well sewn making it easier to get on and off. Fortunately it is not that heavy canvasy feeling type fabric and more like my new BBQ cover. It is black outside and metallic silver inside.It doesn’t look nice and taut like the advertising pictures but it effectively goes over the rim keeping heat in and debris out even when removing. I’m going to have to get something bigger to float and hold up the center. It’s been on & off the pool for 2 weeks. As you can see, my yard is very open and subjected to a lot of wind but it hasn’t budged. I probably could use a bigger something to float and hold up the center. Having a center support sends rainwater around the edges making it easier to reach in and bucket bail before removing the cover.

First and foremost, the main issue is that there are no drain holes for water. So if it rains, you are screwed. You basically have to dump all the water and debris into the pool and then clean the pool. I ended up melting a few holes into the cover with a soldering iron to solve this issue. They include pegs with tethers for the loops so you can secure the cover to the ground. Do you think having metal pegs sticking out of the ground is a wise idea if kids are running around barefoot? I did not use them. I instead used both red straps and looped them behind the pool legs so the cover would stay on. Problem is, there are only two. Instead of including the pegs and rope, they should have just had four of those red straps. Overall it works for me, but it would be designed better. I made it work.

Without a center support, such as a beach ball, the cover may fill with rain or debris. I used weights and chords to secure my cover. It works well.

I got this 8 foot round pool cover for the swimming pool I recently purchased for my doggo. Charlie the miniature Golden Doodle loves water but I did not want the hassle of constantly clearing the pool of leaves and bugs and grass and such, so a good quality cover was in order and this one fits the bill perfectly.This cover is very well made. The stitching is all nice, straight, and even; the seams are all properly enclosed; there are no loose threads anywhere. The straps and flaps are all anchored properly and the whole cover is good and strong while also being remarkably lightweight.In addition to the cargo strap type closure that snugs up the cover to hold it in place around the swimming pool, there is also a drawstring type of seamed enclosure around the bottom edge of the cover with a cord lock so that you can make doubly sure that the top closes snugly and stays that way easily. There are also four tie down straps with clips and four tent peg type of stabilizers that come with the set so that if you live in an area that gets a lot of wind, for instance, you can add this extra level of security to keep the pool cover in place.The outer fabric is Oxford cloth, which is similar to canvas in terms of strength and washability and water resistance, but is actually a better choice than canvas for a product such as this because it is lighter and easier to put on, remove, fold, and store. Oxford is also less prone to colour fading than cotton canvas. The underside of this cover is a silver solar material that is designed to use the power of the sun to retain heat in the pool. I like this because even though I have an immersion heater to warm up the pool for Charlie after filling it with brrrrrrrr cold water from the garden hose, it is nice that I don't have to keep reheating it for him as the cover should keep the water at a decent temperature for him.This cover also comes with a good quality rectangular zippered pouch to store the cover when it is not in use and the cover is easy to fold up and fit back in the pouch. This may sound like a trivial thing but so often an item is next to impossible to get back into its intended storage container so I was happy to find that this one was not difficult at all. It folds back up quite easily and takes up very little space in its handy little pouch.I am very pleased with the excellent quality of this cover and I expect that Charlie is going to be thrilled too!

The one I ordered supposedly for 22ft pool, didn't fit correctly and could not tighten up. Tried to use it anyway. Ripped at several tie down location. Had to buy extra stakes and tie down rope. I don't think it will survive the winter. Poor quality!

So far, 4 months in use, this pool cover is doing a fine job of protecting our pool from the winter elements. We have a small pump that we use to pump water after it rains to keep it from accumulating and possibly causing issues. We have the largest above ground pool you can by at 33' round so having a good enough pool cover to be spread over that size is important. I am hesitant to spend a ton of money though because none of the covers we have purchased have lasted more than two or three years at most. For that reason I try to find a good balance between quality and cost. I think this cover does that perfectly!

Fits our easy set well, I LOVE this material. It is WAY nicer than the other ones we've had in the past. Super light, but sturdy, doesn't get all bunched up and stuck together like others, easy to clean and easy to pull on and off, like a nice light bed sheet! Ordering a second one to use as a trampoline cover for the winter! No question this will last years! Super impressed with this one!

Ordered this to cover my 8 ft dog pool to keep the mosquitos out. I really like that it's lightweight as my pool is collapsible except when full of water. The drawstring holds the cover on well and I haven't used the side ropes. Pool is set up in a sheltered area of my dog yard and there isn't a lot of wind. This is the perfect size for a shallow pool as the sides of the cover go down about 3/4 of the way down the sides, helping to keep it in place. It comes with a storage bag, and the cover does fit back it in, but not easily, lol. The fabric is a thinner canvas type with a reflective inner surface. It's not the toughest fabric but for the price, it's a great cover. I will do as suggested in the ad and put a tall toy in the middle to help redirect rain off to the sides.
