Had a screw that just wouldn't budge from the front wheel rotor. I used this extractor and finally got the screw out. Great product with a solid case to keep from misplacing extractor tips.

I had 6 half-stripped Philips head screws on a 1979 bike engine that needed to be removed and this tool managed to unscrew 4/6. I had to cut a slot on the last 2 then used the flat head bit to remove them. It took time to remove but it did the job perfectly! Easy to hold and operate. The bits that come with it are good quality and comes in handy in multiple sizes. Not so good:• It doesn't have a guard for your hand and therefore you need to hit the tail end with some precision.• The hitting surface has a finish that will flake off after a few hits. Doesn't bother me but a simple uncoated steel surface would probably be better.• The tool come in a metal case. The box clasp arrived broken, but I didn't had time to return and wait for a new tool to come in. I like the idea of no-plastic, but box quality is not on par with the tool quality.

I was working some golf carts about 12 years old changing out rain canopies and windshields. The screws should have been stainless, but some weren't. And even a lot of the stainless ones were semi seized. When this device is used, with the proper bit, nearly all the screws came out easily. The force of the hammer digs the bit into the screw head and imparts a turning force. This way you don't round out the inner side of the screw head and get left with nothing. The reverse drill bits available don't work nearly as well.

I needed to remove frozen screws from 20+ years old deck wood. Only about 1/2 would screw out, the others either broke, or I had to use a multi-tool to cut the heads off. In desperation, I thought I would drive an impact driver. To my amazement, it worked! It broke the screw free enough that I could then use my power screwdriver to remove it. I don't know about any long-term reliability issues, but for this particular application, 5 stars. One concern is that the bits are not the standard 1/4" hex shank. They measured 0.309", which is either 8mm or 5/16. I hope I can find replacement bits should the need arise.

I bought this product with the intention of removing two rusty and pesky screws attached to my rotors as I realized it was a better option than drilling them out, which should be the last option. After I set it to move counter clockwise (left). I hammered and hammered while twisting it to the left with my left hand but to no avail and not only did the screws not loosen or come out, but it made the head of the screws worse and even more difficult to attempt to try again. I put the tire back on again and tried again n the other side but the results weren’t any different. Not sure if this product was designed to work with certain type of conditions but my task went incomplete and it’s rather disappointing that its purpose was not as described. You can try to see if it works when performing the same task on your vehicle but based on my experience, chances are this product will let you down so have a plan B in case it does.

I had a screw that was stuck in a wall anchor. This tool did an amazing job of loosening the anchor with very little effort. The anchor came out clean, and I was able to replace the shelf that had broken. This tool is very simple, which is great for someone with little to no experience in handy work.

I had no idea this existed. I work on old chainsaws that have a lot of slotted screws that have been in place for decades. To say I struggled to get them out was an understatement. This tool made getting those old screws out so ridiculously easy it felt like cheating. I don’t know about the durability but it seems very solid. Highly recommend this tool.

A pleasure to use, saved hours of labour in the first week of ownership. Must have, in the toolbox. Will speak to durability if problems ever arise. Seems solid, with proper use, common sense, I'd expect it to last a long time.

I had two cheap ones from Har-Frt. Their bits just disintegrated. They're in the trash now. I'll have this one for life.
