My review is similar to others. No issues whatsoever with the light itself, but the remote is absolutely worthless. The battery is an A23, which is more common than what folks have said. I was able to find a pair of Energizer A23 batteries at the local grocery store. Waste of money since the remote doesn’t do anything. It will get us by for now, but we will buying a replacement light from somewhere else that is more functional to meet our needs in the near future.

Ok first off the light works fine as a regular replacement for a standard spa bulb but will run cooler and longer. The remote is a bit of a gimmick as the antenna needs to be right next to the bulb with a fresh battery (not included) and mind the water as it’s not water proof - a ziploc bag works well here. But it turns out to be mostly unnecessary as the on/off action of the main power switch will toggle the various color settings which is much easier than messing with the remote. All in all the light works well!

We order this build for our costumer pool light that we are remodeling his pool and he is so happy with us cuz we convert his regular light into a LED light with a low budget now we got his full payment of project without asking.

No battery - took one from the garage door opener to test. (Expensive 12V battery).Tested in a lamp to make sure it works.Drained Hot Tub, Installed, Filled tub. 2 hours heating the water and thought it would be great for girlfriend to see it at dark. Turned on the SPA light and it defaulted to color changing.Press the button on the remote - Nothing. Tried everything even with the old style antenna extended.Ended up putting the remote in a zip lock bag and brought to within a foot in order to get it to work.Remote range sucks. Will not even go three feet with antenna extended. Must use in a waterproof bag and bring to within 12 inches.I should have bought a regular light for $5 and saved $55. Not recommended.

Remote does not work for spa. Water depth for light is about 24". Drain spa to about 10" and remote works fine.

Ok so I contacted the company they sent me out a replacement bulb had it installed today and it looks amazing!old review :this is an update to my review so today the light burnt out yes less then a month old. I turned on like maybe 5 times for only a few hours each and the dang thing will not come on. The GFI is still good and did not trip so it has to be the bulb burnt out because if it got wet then the gfi would have tripped and it’s a good gfi ! so yeah and now i’m out the return window what the heck so save your money !This light is 100 x better then my $1,000 Hayward pool light ! Next to my pool this light makes the pool light so dull ! Best purchase ever

Love the brightness and different color options. BUT, do not count on using the remote. You will have to change the colors using the main electrical on/off switch. ALSO, the first time I tried to change colors with the light switch, nothing happened... it was stuck on the same color. The next day I went back, thinking I was going to remove it to return, but with one last attempt to change colors, it worked. So I've kept the light in place. Update... Changing colors with the light switch can be temperamental. Most of the time it works, but sometimes it's stubborn. Hope this is not a sign the lamp might stop working completely at some point.
