No they are not quite as good as the name brand. But they do an excellent job.My logic:Name brand = 1,000 feet of planing @ $60This brand = 800 feet of planing @ $26It's simple math.I own a commercial wood shop.

I was stupid and ruined my stock blades. These installed very easily into my planer. Seem to have a little chatter but nothing major.

I was impressed taking these blades out of their wrapper, they are a bit thicker than the Dewalt blades I usually buy. Trying to save money like everybody else, I thought I'd give these a chance.The first blade I tried to install on my Dewalt 734 did not fit on the alignment lugs on the planer. A few passes with a file through the alignment hole solved that. Other than that they fit in place.I planed some KD 4/4 cherry down to 3/4, only about 30bf, and the blades are already leaving lines. Okay so they sand right off with 150 paper but these are NEW blades. The machine is not bogging, yet.I also noticed a few waves on the planed surface, The Dewalt 734 does not have a variable speed so I had to run them through again to get rid of those waves. I'm only taking 1/64 at a time, Not working the machine to death.Not sure how long these blades will last. They are inexpensive, so I bought two sets.
