The 95% shielding coverage provides protection of RF leaks and interference and it is has a stranded center conductor for flexibility.

Sloppy solder, hard to insert into mount, on tightening (not all that tight either) the "nut" cracked from thin chinesium metal and went right over the inner part. Given I had installed these through the overhead compartment and grommeted through the sides of the roof on the peterbilt, I just re-ended it. Probably replace next year when the truck is down for service. Buy better coax - trust me.
