Our heavy duty bungee cords is also called shock cord or elastic cord, its core wire is composed of multiple UV-resistant rubber and latex wrapped in braided sheath. The nylon outer sheath protects the elastic core and helps stretch the elastic bungee cord evenly over its entire length.

Do you know how hard it is to find a basic black rope type bungee cord at stores? Can’t find basic black. (Didn’t want the rubber type) Ordered and these are perfect keeping covers down over outdoor furniture as extra reinforcement. Over the grill too. Winds and storms been so bad. Elastic is very good. Not cheaply made or made poorly.

First, I got the 12 inch. That was accurate. However, they barely stretch 3 inches. What I also noticed was that the hooks were not symmetrical. On one the hooks face the same, on another they face in opposite directions, and still, on another they are angled. This usually wouldn't matter with bungees that are less stiff, and more flexible. It might matter to some.
