Matters needing attention:
1. Keep it in dry and cool place, away from sun exposure, metal items and where is full of electromagnetic effect.
2. In order to avoid the disorder of the magnetic needle, please keep a certain distance from the wire mesh and magnetic objects, such as high-voltage wire, generator, audio, magnet, etc.
3. Don't knock or clap the compass by hand, so as not to affect the measurement accuracy.
4. Keep the shell and mirror surface clean and clean, do not use dirty cloth or hand to wipe.

Make sure you keep them very level. They don’t find North fast. Some were better than others but they all basically faced the same way “ish”.

I was asked to be a special guest and talk about camping. Each child was given a compass to help them find their way. They were excited and it wasn’t that costly. Great product for this activity.

I only needed one, but this is the way they are packaged. I wanted a compass to seat in the top of my walking stick. I laid all on to a flat service and figured I would throw out those that were inaccurate. All of them were spot on. I did a lot of exploring with my walking stick and was able to quickly see my direction of travel. The compass finds the bearing very quickly. I could not be happier.

Only 8 of the 12 compass dial "N" pointed generally North; 4 of the compass dial "N" pointed generally South . In other words, the magnets underlying the dials were installed in the reverse polarity to what is indicated on their dials ;;they were defective.In addition, 4 of the compass dials did not turn freely on their pivots; those included to of the compasses which correctly pointed towards North. Therefore, only 6 of the 12 compasses worked properly.None of the compasses contained air bubbles, which is good, at least wrt to the compasses which otherwise worked properly.The next buyer will have to decide whether she/he is willing to pay twice as much per compass, possibly, while hoping that all 12 compasses will work correctly.

Nice little button compasses but the entry is slightly untrue. These are not oil filled. They are air filled, they still work but just not as impact resistant as oil filled would be.

From 12, I threw in the garbage 5 compasses. They were stuck, not spinning at all. Another 2 not pointing the North.The rest of them were okay.

All 12 compasses point north. Fit and Finish seems ok.Not sure of longevity but as a backup to a primary compass these seem to fit the bill.I would buy these again.
