This kill switch is very easy to install and does the job perfectly!! I feel much safer now knowing that I can park my truck without worrying about somebody stealing it even if the crooks try to mess with the steering column.

I had a parasitic battery drain I just couldn't figure out. The dealership would have been ridiculously expensive to diagnose the problem. I installed this gizmo and I simply "turn off" my battery with the handy remote. The battery drain is now irrelevant. Great product and easy to install.

I have bought 3 and they are all working great. This kill switch kills all the power at the battery. No longer have to worry about someone hot wiring my car., this device works great.

Worked fine until it suddenly stopped being able to disconnect the battery. No excessive load, just starting my F150 is the most work it ever had to do. Now it's just garbage.

This remote control relay on/off switch is both easy to install and use. It also provides a visual voltage readout which is very helpful.I've only had it a week, but so far so good. I also appreciate that it came with two remotes. They also have a very helpful install video.

The GMURA remote battery disconnect "kill switch" works exactly as described on the Amazon web page. The one-page pictorial instructions show how to disconnect the negative terminal of the battery, and place the disconnect switch in-line between the negative lead from the car and the negative battery terminal. A thin, unfused red wire connects directly to the positive terminal of the battery to supply power to the unit. When pressing the supplied remote control, the switch immediately disconnects the battery from the vehicle. It's worth noting that bench testing this feature may lead you to believe the switch doesn't work. I hooked up the switch to a 12VDC power supply in my work room and the remote failed to work. However, it worked perfectly in the vehicle, leading me to believe that either:a) the unit uses the metal body of the vehicle as the antenna, orb) the lack of an actual load on the switch was confusing the operationThe other feature of the disconnect switch is that it will automatically disconnect the battery when the detected voltage drops below a certain value (12.0V?). This is handy for protecting the battery, but could be an unpleasant surprise if you happen to drive somewhere, stay overnight (especially in very cold climates), and come out to a healthy but auto-disconnected battery. BE SURE to bring the remote with you where ever you go so this feature doesn't end up stranding you away from home.CUSTOMER REQUEST: Please consider an option to disable the auto-disconnect on voltage drop feature. My final caution is about the thin, red wire running directly to the positive terminal of the battery. Use extreme care in running this wire to the battery. It's an unfused wire, and should the red wire somehow get pinched to chassis ground, the full current of the battery will run through it, melting the insulation and possibly leading to a vehicle fire. I plan to double-insulate this wire in the trunk (where my battery lives), and perhaps put an in-line fuse on the battery side to protect against any accidental shorting.Overall, I like the GMURA remote battery disconnect and have recommended it to others. With a few important caveats above, it does the needful quite nicely.
