Full wave rectifier absolutely. Voltage regulator no. Output of 17.5 volts, same as the stator. Absolutely no regulation

Definitely a rectifier, not really a regulator, or mine is broken.My DC voltage goes well over 18 volts and doesn't seem to be regulated.Burns out every 12 volt bulb I use!
