Nut never not tight while installing. It was my intention to torque to between 25-30 inch/pounds but I never got the chance because it never got snug. Removed the nut and saw that about 3mm of thread (about 6 threads) were completely stripped.

I have purchased items from Texas Precision Optic before. They did not let me down then and did not with this purchase. I will continue to do business with them. So far I have purchased three scopes from them and the next time will probably be something in the new category of scopes.

To be fair I'm not using these as scope rings I'm using them to mount flashlights. That being said while I'm sure these are not the most precision rings taking into consideration they're $10 they seem decent to me and they 100% will work for my purpose. They even have a little bit of scope tape inside of the rings to prevent slippage. Would I put these on a precision instrument? Not unless I had no other choice but they do still function and serve a purpose for little money.
