Slotted Hex Head
Masonry screws in this selection feature a slotted hex head, most easily driven by a nutsetter or socket. This head style features an integral washer that provides a greater holding power on the fixture being anchored to the masonry material. Hex washer head screws protrude above the installation surface.
Self Tapping Threads
Like all masonry anchors, concrete screws require a pre drilled pilot hole (matching drill bit not included) to be installed. Unlike other concrete anchors however, masonry screws do not rely on an expansion mechanism to anchor to concrete, as they thread the pilot hole on their way down like a standard screw. This also means that concrete screws are removable if necessary, unlike most expansion anchors.
Blue Climaseal Coating
Hex Head Masonry Screws feature a distinct Blue Climaseal coating that provides extra corrosion resistance. This coating is uniquely applied in multiple stages through dip-spin technology for complete coverage, and makes these screws suitable for indoor and outdoor masonry applications.
