The Yeebyee 5/16"-18 Nylon Insert Hex Lock Nuts, Carbon Steel White Zinc Plated can be torqued to secure 2 materials together or they can be placed away from the materials to allow movement. The Nylon Insert secures itself to the thread and resists loosening from vibration.The Nylon is white which means it is low strength. The steel is also Low Carbon. These are fine for nearly all applications.My inspection and testing found no defects.
