This Piburth 14-Inch Cross Lug Wrench, Foldable 4 Way Lug Nut Removal Tool is the rear storage compartment of a used BMW X3 I just purchased. The X3 has run-flat tires (no spare) and someone had cleaned out everything out of the back, tire tool, mini air compressor, tire patch kit, tow hook and jack, so I'm having to replace all of it. Happy to have this lug nut tool as it will fit the 17mm lug nut on my vehicle and hopefully anyone else that may need need use. It has a nice chrome finish and folds up nicely to fit in the storage compartment. No issues. Now I hope I never have to use it ! !

Hot garbage. That's what this is--a giant paperweight made out of cheap crap. Got this, and tried it out on my wife's car. The pinch joint that allows the wings to fold down, is what bent. I had the collars locked like you're supposed to, and they simply bent, like cheap tin. Amazing that "steel" is really shiny chrome plated pot metal. Do NOT recommend.

A cross-bar lug wrench that doesn’t take up as much space? Sounds great! … except the execution is a let down due to manufacturing tolerances. There are sliding collars that lock the folding arms into place, and on the one received, one side was loose and the other side was extremely tight – so much so that it took a hammer just to release it and allow it to fold back again. The opposite side was loose enough to give that unnerving feeling that something might just snap when in use. It wasn’t an issue for the properly torqued lug nuts on my vehicle, but not everyone is a DIY-er. Try to loosen lugs zapped down to about a bazillion ft.lbs from a tire shop, and things might be different. 3 stars. It can work, but the quality issues are a definite set back.

Wow … this is a great tool to have on hand! Makes the job so much easier and storing it is definitely a plus as it folds up nicely!
