This mattress is extra firm just as I wanted and great for my back. It comes delivered true to size and is NOT air compressed in a small box. It is definitely double sided with decent padding but if you are looking for any cushion or give you will need to get a mattress topper. I am happy with my purchase!

It hasn't even been a year and my husband and I are already having back trouble from this mattress falling apart. I DO NOT recommend this mattress.

This mattress is firm! It is so difficult to find a double sided mattress without foam or gel. It gives great support which I didn't think could be possible with one that is so inexpensive. Being able to flip is over will extend the usable life of this mattress greatly. I only wish it had hand grip straps on the side. I'm very pleased and highly recommend this mattress if you want a very firm one.

Update: Two years later and I still love this mattress. It’s just as good as when I bought it!Listen- I’ve been buying mattresses for years trying to find a firm mattress for a bad back! In the last ten years, I've spent thousands on mattresses and pads to make my bed firmer... Yet the Nulan 14-inch has been one of the cheaper mattresses and has been the best! This double-sided beaut is just what I was looking for… firm and firm! I can even sleep on my back which I haven’t been able to do for years! I’m a bigger person and this mattress has passed two months and is still as good as when I first bought it because if you have been searching for a firm mattress you know they all start out firm and then quickly lose their firmness and shape. This is a mattress you can trust! Better than my Stearns and Foster I paid 4 times the amount for and then had to add pads and sleep on the edge! Run to get this mattress! I do want to say this is a bouncy mattress. It doesn't bother me but I read quite a few reviews that mentioned it... i just don't see how you would have a firm innerspring mattress that can hold weight without some bounce... I'm not an engineer. So, to have a firm mattress that can be supportive and firm, well that is the most important thing to me!

This mattress was purchased for a heavy set person with scoliosis, and it is holding up very well . It is double sided and can be turned over, which will make it last longer. It is hard to find a double sided twin mattress in any furniture store. Very comfortable and I would definitely recommend this mattress to anybody with back problem or with a little extra weight on them. Very affordable price. Received it before the delivery date date.

The mattress height didn't match the description, so I had to buy a topper to align it with my spouse’s twin XL mattress. Aside from this issue, the mattress is excellent and likely extra firm—one reviewer called it "the slab," which is fitting.The mattress doesn’t compress at the edges or sink in at all. The latex topper I bought to fix the height issue complements the mattress well, as its only shortcoming is its bounce. The latex topper helped mitigate this, but some bounce remains.The bounce can be noticeable—I can feel my spouse moving on their separate mattress. Before adding the topper, the mattress felt a bit like a waterbed, with my body swaying on top a little bit when I moved.It doesn’t feel springy like a coil mattress but is very firm and tightly constructed. The minimal foam padding keeps the surface smooth.I recommend this mattress if you prefer a solid, supportive surface with no sinking like memory foam. However, if you’re looking for a medium-firm feel, this isn't the right choice. It offers full support with no softness.

Both my fiancé and I are SO HAPPY with this bed!! It's very firm (which is great for anyone who suffers from back pain like he does) but it's still super comfortable. The quality is exceptional and it arrived in perfect condition. This was our first time purchasing a bed online and we're so glad we went with this one.. And you will be too!!!!
