So, they are exactly as described. Beware that you are likely to end up with some black residue on your hands. They will hold up for a simple nail in project or purely ornamental. I used glue and a nail gun and then placed these nails so the heads cover the brats.

These hand wrought nails were the perfect fastener for my barn door project. 1.5” was just the right length. They went in easy and made the project look authentic and gave it the aged look I was going for.
